Porcelain veneers & Lumineers®
The smile you've pictured, in porcelain
Ultra-thin, hand-finished porcelain shells that correct color, shape, gaps and wear — designed digitally and previewed in your mouth before we begin.
Quick answer
Porcelain veneers are thin, custom-crafted shells bonded to the front of your teeth to correct discoloration, chips, gaps and uneven shape. At SMILE Dental they're designed with Digital Smile Design, previewed before treatment, and typically completed in two visits.

Two paths to porcelain
Classic veneers or no-prep Lumineers®
Traditional veneers involve gently reshaping a thin layer of enamel so the porcelain sits perfectly flush — the gold standard for dramatic transformations.
Lumineers® are even thinner and usually require little to no drilling, preserving your natural enamel — an excellent conservative option that fits the SMILE minimally-invasive philosophy.
During your consultation Dr. Andisco will show you, on screen, what each option achieves for your specific smile.
What to expect
The two-visit process
Design & preview
Digital scans and Smile Design photos let you preview the result — physically in your mouth — and approve every detail.
Preparation
Teeth are gently prepared (or barely touched, for Lumineers®) and precise impressions go straight to our on-site lab.
Placement
Each veneer is bonded, checked against your bite with Dawson-trained precision, and polished to a lifelike finish.
Long-term care
Built to last 10–15+ years
Veneers are stain-resistant and durable. Treat them like natural teeth — brush, floss, and keep your six-month cleanings — and they'll reward you for over a decade. We'll also check your bite at every visit, because a balanced bite is what makes porcelain last.
- Brush & floss normally — no special routine
- Six-month hygiene visits protect your investment
- Night guard recommended if you grind

FAQs
Common questions
Do veneers hurt?
No — preparation is conservative and done under local anesthetic, and Lumineers® often require no drilling at all. Most patients describe mild sensitivity for a few days at most.
How many veneers do I need?
Some patients transform their smile with two; most choose six to ten across the visible smile zone. Your Digital Smile Design preview shows exactly what different counts achieve.
Can veneers be whitened?
Porcelain doesn't respond to whitening gel, so we whiten your natural teeth first, then match the veneers to your new brighter shade.
What's the difference between veneers and crowns?
A veneer covers the front surface of a healthy tooth for cosmetic improvement; a crown wraps the entire tooth and is used when there's damage or decay. Dr. Andisco will recommend the most conservative option that works.
